How do you make sense out of your life? God gave us the ability to choose. There are implications with each choice we make. We choose our education, vocation, marriage status, and living locations but none of these are the most important choice we make in life. We need to develop a relationship and train so we can make wise choices. The best and most important choice anyone can make in life is to accept and follow the path and plan that God designed them for.
We need to teach our children how to make the proper choices at a young age. The small choices they make each day is laying a foundation for the bigger choices to come in life. Children need to understand that they can make a right or wrong choice. What will they use to know which one is the correct one? Children must learn that there are consequences for wrong choices. God created them to make choices. God will help them know and do what is right.
September 1 They found themselves in what seemed to be an impossible situation. They had to decide would they live in fear or follow. The land was full of giants and the cities were fortified. Joshua and Caleb made the correct choice, they choose to trust God because of the faith. Joshua knew if they obeyed God, the Lord would protect and provide for them. Numbers 13-14– Are you in a similar situation? Do not give in your fears and choose the wrong path. God gives us the freedom to make the right or the wrong choices. We need to Do What is Right, 2 Corinthians 13:7 Be strong and courageous Joshua 1:9. Ask God to show you the amazing things He designed for you as you follow His plan.
September 8 Daniel was a young man placed in a challenging situation concerning what he had been taught as a child. It challenged his faith. He was far away from everything he knew and had no one to rely on but God. Daniel obeyed God even when it could have cost him his life, Daniel 1:1-20 – God will help us make the right choices and take the right actions when we allow Him. We will obey God Joshua 24:24; Do what is right 2 Corinthians 13:7. Choosing to obey God can be difficult. We must ask God to walk with us along the way as He did Daniel.
September 15 Every time you say yes you are saying no to something else. What is the true expense of the choice you made? Jesus visited Mary and Martha and taught them to know which choice is the correct one. Jesus taught them what was really important. Luke 10:38-42 – God will help people know which choices are the right ones. God will teach us how to live and provide the resource and power for us to do that. Micah 4:2; 2 Corinthians 13:7. Are you missing your relationship and time with God because of the choices you make on a daily basis?
September 22 What must I do? The Rich Young Ruler had to choose. Were the materials of the world more important than a true relationship with God? Mark10:17-22; Luke 18:18-23 – People should make the right choice and choose to love God. Do what is right 2 Corinthians 13:7; Jesus said “Love God with all your heart” Matthew 22:37. Ask God to reveal anything that may be keeping you from a true relationship with God. Lord help us to trust you completely and obey the call.
September 29 Each person is valuable. Jesus called Matthew and showed him how loving others is the right thing to do, Matthew 9:9-13 – People can choose to show love to other people. Do what is right 2 Corinthians 13:7; Love one another 1 John 4:7. Ask God for wisdom as you share His Love with the world around you.
