What is first?
God created man from dust in the ground to His own image. God breathed life into man and he became a living being. The first CPR event was not a rescue, it was a giving of life.
God caused the man to fall asleep then took a rib and closed the skin to make a woman. The first operation was to give man a partner not save a life.
God wants us to value others as He values us. The lifesaving event took place when a death took place and God gave His son. This was a big investment in you and me.
God created us for a relationship with Him. We are very important to Him. God’s love can transform bad attitudes. Sinful lives lead us toward anger, envy, jealousy, pride, and rage. God replaces these with love, joy, peace, patience and other fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). We need to go all in with our hearts, minds, and souls.
There was only one door into the Ark. To experience God’s love and mercy Noah had to build the Ark to God’s plan, walk through that door and allow God to shut the door behind him. The story shows us that God’s creation was worth saving. The relationship with God is what needed restoring. God provides us that door through Jesus Christ. We need to be looking for those crazy instructions God has for us. We don’t have to start completely over we just need to read the instruction book (BIBLE) and build the relationship (with God). Remember Noah worshiped God and obeyed His call.
How do you plan, respond, and train to respond?
Deceived, disobedient, failing to see the plan, foolish, hateful, passions, & pleasures left many outside the Ark and will leave many more in a lost world. So many are consumed and self- condemned because they seek the treasures of the world.
There is a great investment plan. God’s Word teaches us to seek something that is good and profitable for everyone. God’s Spirit contributes abundantly into the program. We are called commit to Jesus and devote ourselves to His good work. We should demonstrate God’s love daily and reflect Jesus in our lives. God’s word reminds us what is possible and points us to the future. Noah trusted God with the plan and so can you. Noah knew what his role was. In 63 AD Paul taught Titus to devote himself to God’s plan (Titus 3:3-11). We all have a role in our Christian walk and in our Church. The church is more than a building it is the body of Christ. When members are selfish the body suffers. When members live in generous and sacrificially ways the needs of others are meet. With Good investments others are drawn to God’s family. The will be welcomed and properly feed so they too can grow in what they know and let it show.
Your investment plan must include- Loving Jesus more and more each day. Living in a way that reflects Jesus’ character. Spending time in Bible study and prayer. Taking steps to grow where you see weaknesses. Focusing on the plans God gives you and not the storm that we know is coming. It may not be easy, but you must demonstrate Christlikeness to everyone. Comfort zones are comfortable, but they will not get the return on the investment. Try God’s plan and take a stand.
