How do you know what to believe? The world is full of confusion. We are designed and equipped to carry out a mission but many are failing to prepare for it. Many people today have no idea what a true church is. This month we will be teaching the students the Biblical view of what the Church really is. It is not a place to feel intimidated or uneasy. It is a place to grow in what you know and allow God’s love show.
When you study the Word do you have questions? Before you begin your Bible study Pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide your study. As you study take time to picture the scene. Ask yourself Who? What? Where? When? How does it apply to my life? Are there Actions that need to be taken because of what was revealed?
July 2 Your involvement and reaction is important to life within the church. It is crucial to your long-term well-being. God wants people to gather to worship him. 1 Kings 6 and 8; Psalm 96:3; 1 Chronicles 16:9 Solomon and the people worshiped God. A true Church helps you grow in a deeper relationship with God. Solomon lifted his hands toward heaven and prayed. He thought about the future and asked for forgiveness. Bless be the Lord, He keeps His promises may we keep His comandments.
July 9 Test time has come. Do you trust Him? Are you missing blessings? God invites us to be a part of His work in and through churches. Tithing and giving are acts of worship. Everyone has something they can give offerings can include your time and talents. The church gives offering to support the work of God. 2 Chronicles 24:1-14 Psalm 96:3 Malachi 3:10 Joash and the people gave. God loves cheerful givers. 2 Corinthians 9:7.
July 16 Some people were angry and jealous and caused an uproar this did not stop the Good News from being shared. Others were eager to hear God’s Word. A church is a group of Christians who meet together to serve and worship the One True God. The church studies Scriptures to know and understand the Truth. Acts 17:1-12; Psalms 96:3; 2 Timothy 2:15. Bereans Studied the Scriptures. They knew the Scripture was the original true authority, the truth would be found in it.
July 23 God uses the church to meet the needs of people. A Bible believing church prays for other in times on need or trouble. Acts 12:1-19; Psalm 96:3; James 5:16. Confess and pray. People prayed for Peter. Prayer is an important part of our walk with Christ. God hears the prayers of His people. Throughout the years God has and still does answers our prayers in incredible ways.
July 30 The whole town gathered to hear the message. The church shares the gospel by sending and supporting others to proclaim the Gospel. Acts 13; Psalms 96:3. The false prophet tried to stop Paul and Barnabas. The Holy Spirit protect them and God blinded the false prophet. The church sent missionaries. They proclaimed Jesus as the promised Savior. Nothing has the power to stop God’s message of love and forgiveness. How will you allow God to use you to share the Gospel.
