December 2022 at Living Word

Christmas is about a gift. No matter how young or old you should be excited not too busy or concerned. God came personally for you; He came to give you the gift of salvation.

CHRISTmas is the revealing of Jesus Christ, the Kingdom of God, and the salvation of man. A time to grow in knowledge and a relationship with God.

Newborn babies can be adorable yet vulnerable, every baby has to have a grown-up to meet every need. A baby can not even change positions from front to back or side to side without help. Someone has to make sure a baby stays warm but not too hot, gets a bath, changing, cleaning, food and every other human need. The God who created the universe, the earth and everything in it came to earth and went through every stage of growth from a tiny newborn, to a child, to a teen, to an adult. He experienced every emotion that you and I do. Hebrews 2:17-18; 4:15-16

December 4 How many times have you known something was going to happen before it really did? The plan was not a secret to be kept. Prophets told about Savior’s birth hundreds of years before He was born. God had a plan for Jesus to be the Savior from the beginning of time. Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; 11:1-5; Micah 5:2; 1 John 4:9 God provided messengers and forerunners

December 11 What could you taught Him? How would you have raised Him? God had a plan for Jesus to be part of a family. By design God set up the family as a plan for safely raising children. Angels spoke to Mary and Joseph. Challenges and excitement were just beginning for this new family. God had trusted this young couple with His Son. It did not seem it would be possible. Jesus was born of virgin. Son of God and a son of mankind. Luke 1:26-56; Matthew 1:18-24

December 18 There was not a plan B, Government requirements were used to fulfill prophecies, this birthday was one that would change the world forever more. God had organized every detail for the arrival of the Savior. It was happening as foretold and planned. Jesus was born in Bethlehem Luke 2:1-20. God sent His Son Jesus to be the Messiah and Savior.

December 25 Would you know Him if He was visible in your presence? Simeon Recognized the Savior. Luke 2:30; 1 John 4:9 People need to recognize that Jesus was and still is the Savior sent by God.

December can be a time of emotional, mental, and spiritual growth or stress. What are you plans? Chaos or Christ? How do you prepare for the CHRISTmas season? Prophets shared God’s plan to send a Savior. God prepared the failing world for Jesus from the very beginning. How have you fit Jesus into your preparations?
