Thank God you are free. You have the privilege to read this or not. Many people have died throughout the years fighting for your freedoms. Having the independence to do anything you want when you want may be a great thing but you must be responsible about it. Do not let failure or sin have the last say in your life. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Instead press on to be where God wants you to be. Allow God to give you true freedom.
Think of people who use specific instructions or plans in their work. Ball players – rules of the game Chef—recipe Architect—blueprints Student— assignments Teacher—lesson plans Singer—music What happens if these people do not follow the plan they are given to complete their work? God gave instructions to people during Bible times. They had the choice to follow or not. Ever wonder what would happen if they didn’t? Here are some examples: ° God told Noah to build an ark. (Genesis 6:14-16) ° God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and other instructions for the Hebrew people on how to worship God alone. (Exodus 20-31) ° God gave King Solomon the plans to build the temple. (1 Kings 6) ° God gave the prophet Jonah instructions to go to the people of Ninevah and preach to them, but Jonah rebelled against God at first. (Jonah 1-4) Read Luke 1:76-79 What was the plan God laid out? How did it involve light? We are given freedom to make choices. God works in our hearts so that we may know who He is. We must make the decision to follow the call. True faith will move us to action. We must have the courage to walk forward and follow the path. We must seek God for the answers and direction we need to move. Through obedience God will use you in a powerful way. You were created for a purpose.
