February 2025 at Living Word –
You could be great at it. Loving others is not always easy for us to do. We are all accountable for our choices and the rewards or consequences that come with them. 1 John 4:11 tells us we should love others because God loves us. This month we want to discover ways we can share love. Bible stories give us many great examples of what True Love really is and does for us. By following God’s plan and will we can learn how to love. God offers us all abilities, gifts, resources, and talents, we just have to open and put them to use. God will allow you to make the right or wrong choice. God made you able to grow in what you know and allow God’s Love to grow and show in your daily life.
Feb 2 God made you able to do many things well. You can use how you can love and help others. People who may be unkind to you are still loved by God. People you work with and for are loved by God. David worked for a King who was trying to harm him. The king was undergoing spiritual warfare. God’s Spirit was no longer with Saul. Spiritually Saul was defenseless. David was trying to bring comfort and peace to a troubled man. Genesis 50:20; 1 Samuel 16:14-23; Galatians 5:13; 1 John 4:11. God loves us, so we should love others. How do you plan to help one another in love? God has great plans for you, pray asking for God to guide and provide.
Feb 9 People can choose to love and become friends. God allows people to make right and wrong choices. The king’s son should be the next king but God had plans for a lyre playing shepherd boy to become the next king. The king’s son Jonathan risk his own life to protect that shepherd boy. Jonathan and David promised to be friends. 1 Samuel 14:49; 18:1-4;20; 1 John 4:11. Ask God to help you share His love.
Feb 16 People can choose to love and be kind. God allows people to choose. David chose to help Mephibosheth. 2 Samuel 4:4;9; Romans 5:8-10; Ephesians 1:4-5; 2:6-7; 4:32; 1 John 4:11 Christ died for us giving us great riches so we could extend God’s grace and mercy to others.
Feb 23 People can choose to love and work together. People are allowed to decide. We need wisdom to make the right choices but are given the freedom to make the wrong choice. Nehemiah rebuilt the wall. Nehemiah 2:1-20; 4:1-21:6:15-16; 1 Corinthians 16:14; 1 John 4:11. We should do all things in love. God loves us so we should love others.
