Feb 2022 at Living Word – God’s truth is steadfast and unchanging
February is a month of love. There is no better place to experience true love than a true Bible believing, teaching church.
God wants people to gather to worship Him. A true church is a group of Christians who meet together to grow in a relationship and wisdom while worshiping and serving the True Living God. Colossians 3:16 tells us – Let the Word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Learning is a powerful worship action. Being active in church helps us know more about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit so we can honor Him daily in our lives. This month our students learn what the Bible teaches us about church and worship.
Feb 6 Are you limiting the way you feel? When is the last time you were truly blessed, excited, and happy? How do you prepare yourself and those around you to worship the True Living God? Hezekiah and the people worshiped God. God wants you to gather with others to worship Him. 2 Chronicles 29; Psalm 149:1; Colossians 3:16. The church can sing and use music to worship God.
Feb 13 Feeling confused and lost without guidance? How do you find security & wisdom emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually? Can you gain security and happiness by giving? Joash and the people gave offerings. There are many things you have to give to God, talents, time, and possessions. 2 Chronicles 24:1-14, 1 Chronicles 16:29; Colossians 3:16. The church gives offerings to support the work of God. The church gives direction needed to honor God no matter what.
Feb 20 Asking a question may indicate that you are willing to learn. Can asking questions be a powerful compliment? Do you trust the person you are asking to have the correct answers? Are you allowing the person you are asking to teach you? Jesus talked with the teachers. People need to come together to serve and worship God. Luke 2:41-52; Colossians 3:16. The church should grow by learning and talking about God. Are you willing to change based on what you learn? Jesus asked questions and gave answers to teach others about God. Jesus chose to follow the Fathers plan and became strong and wise.
Feb 27 Despite any situation we can focus on God and celebrate who He is. Jesus Cleansed the Temple. A church needs to be a place of praise, prayer, and worship. Mark 11:15-18; Matthew 21:12-13; Colossians 3:16. Talking and listening to God is key to connecting and responding to His call. Experience the true love of Christ by building a true relationship with God and a body of believers who want to grow in what they know and allow God’s love to show, surround yourself with people that pray for you instead of people that prey on you.
It is not all about you, it is about us coming together to grow in what we know allowing God’s Love to show and grow through our working together to fulfill His plan for us. What is the big idea anyway? Psalm 34:3; 84:4,10; 122:1
