Have you been to the end of your resources, physically or emotionally? God has the power and the resources to meet your needs
When has it been difficult for you to trust? We can always trust God no matter how difficult things seems to be. Wavering trust will lead to disobedience. Pour out your heart to God and trust Him.
We cry for many reasons? What do you find comforting? Your life may contain miseries but there are beautiful things worth celebrating. Are you making plans to share the joys of heaven for eternity?
Do you have a good grasp on life? Are you just acting as if you know how the world works? Do you have any ideas on how God works? People throughout history have dealt with pain and suffering, and God has used those people to accomplish His plans despite the difficulties and hardships they faced. You may not understand it but God has a plan for you. It is ok if you don’t know, God knows follow Him.
Children learn
Feb 2 Deborah led the people – Judges 4:1-16,23-24; Proverbs 3:5 – Deborah’s trust and obedience to God helped during difficult times. We can always trust God no matter how difficult things seem to be. God asks me to honor Him by choosing to do what is right and reject what is wrong
Feb 9 Hannah prayed – 1 Samuel 1; Proverbs 3:5; Psalm 17:6 – Praying is communicating with God. As you pray be honest with yourself and God. Be content knowing that God’s ways are always right, you can trust and depend on Him.
Feb 16 A widow helped Elijah – 1 Kings 17:1,8-16; Proverbs 3:5- Elijah did not hesitate to do what God told him to do. People can learn about and recognize God’s authority. He wants to meet their needs.
Feb 23 Esther helped her people – Esther 22-18 38-13; 4:5-17; 5:1-8 7:1-10 8:1-17; Proverbs 3:5 – Ester put her life on the line for a greater good. How much are you willing to risk for you faith? Trust God even when difficult things happen.
Youth learn
Feb 2 What is God’s answer to suffering? Job 40:1-8; 42:1-6; Hebrews 2:9-10 God actions are often beyond our understanding, but we should place our trust in Him.
Feb 9 Does God really understand my pain and suffering? Isaiah 53:2-12; John 16:32-33 Jesus willingly experienced pain and suffering for our salvation.
Feb 16 Where does comfort come from? 2 Corinthians 1:3-11; Revelations 21:3-4 As God comforts us, we should comfort others.
Feb 23 How can I honor God in my suffering? 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 Every part of life -even the hard-difficult times – is your opportunity to glorify God.
