November 2024 at Living word
Life is full of choices. What if you make a mistake? It is often hard to know what to do unless you focus on the long-term future. Decisions can be life-changing. Do you know that in a couple months it will really be a mess but it will be all over. All that pretty & shiny wrapping stuff you spent your money on will either be burned or kicked to the curb. Did the gift mean something to each one as they opened the gift given them? Then that season will be gone forever but the real reason for the season will still be there. We want the children to understand that they are one of God’s greatest creations and He has plans for them. Our lessons this month show the earth and everything in it belong to God and He created mankind with a special plan in mind. God did not create the universe then leave it on its own. God had a plan from the beginning and continues to work out His plan every day.
November 3 The world was full of plants and trees producing fruits and vegetables yet there was no sun. The Light was there days before the sun and moon existed. Creation came from dark and empty. Genesis 1:1-19; Nehemiah 9:6; Psalm 104:5-24 God spoke the world into existence from nothing. God’s creation will lead us to a relationship with Him.
November 10 There were and still are all colors, shapes, and sizes. Air, land, and water, God made creatures and animals for them all. Genesis 1:20-25; Psalm 50:10-11; 104:24; Acts 4:24. God wants people to take responsibility for taking care of his creations.
November 17 Sin and Consequences. Genesis 1:26-2:24; Psalm 104:24; Acts 17:24-28. The garden of Eden was designed for man to care for in their relationship with God. God made people different than everything else He made. People can choose to love and obey or try to run away. God created people in His image and wants a personal relationship with them.
November 24 Sometimes God closes doors for your protection. Would you continue the task God called you do even if the world was making fun of you? Genesis 6:9-8:19; 9:8-17; Psalm 8:1-2; 100:3-5. Saved from the flood. God is in control and God’s creation will follow His plan, will you? God gives us promises we need to claim them. God the Father has plans and purpose for all creation including you.
God the Son carried out the Fathers will by coming as a man so we could see what God is like. Then He gave His life and Rose again to redeem us.
God the Holy Spirit reveals God’s will and empowers us to live out God’s plan for our life. The Holy spirit will never direct us to do anything contrary to God’s Word.
The key is not to resist the Holy Spirit. God will not force Him upon us, We should seek the mind of God. While Jesus was on earth, He taught the truth about faith and before He left, He promised God the Father would send the Holy Spirit to dwell with us. Leading us to know God’s will and way and empower us to carry out the plan.
Read the Word. When we read the Bible, we know the thoughts and plan of God and His desire for our life. Listen to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will open our eyes to see the Truth of God. The Holy Spirit will teach us how to apply God’s truth to our life.
